Uzm. Dr. Çağatay Önal, Eskişehir Osmangazi Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi’nden 2012 yılında mezun olmuştur. Internlük eğitimini İstanbul Üniversitesi Cerrahpaşa Tıp Fakültesi’nde tamamladıktan sonra, Kardiyoloji uzmanlık eğitimini Kartal Koşuyolu Yüksek İhtisas Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi’nde 2017 yılında bitirmiştir. Mecburi hizmetini Muş Bulanık Devlet Hastanesi’nde gerçekleştirmiştir.
Uzmanlık eğitiminin ardından İstanbul Yedikule Göğüs Hastalıkları Hastanesi, İzmir Ekol Hastanesi ve İzmir Medical Point Hastanesi’nde görev yapmıştır. Ayrıca 2019 yılında Amerika Birleşik Devletleri’nde Texas Heart Institute bünyesinde gözlemcilik (observership) programına katılmıştır.
Dr. Önal’ın ulusal ve uluslararası kongrelerde sunulmuş bildirileri, bilimsel dergilerde yayımlanmış çalışmaları ve çeşitli kitap bölümü yazarlıkları bulunmaktadır. Klinik ilgi alanları arasında koroner arter hastalıkları, kalp yetersizliği, hipertansiyon ve ekokardiyografi yer almaktadır. Halen İzmir Özel Gazi Hastanesi’nde Kardiyoloji Uzmanı olarak görev yapmaktadır.
